FAQ
#

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that allows AI assistants to securely access external data. Fitness AI Connector uses this standard to safely provide your Garmin data to AI assistants.

Which Garmin devices are supported?

All devices compatible with the Garmin Health API are supported, including Forerunner, Fenix, Venu, vΓvoactive, and more.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is encrypted and stored in a secure cloud database (Supabase / AWS). No one other than you can access your data.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Simply tell your AI assistant “I want to cancel” and you’ll be directed to the Customer Portal. Cancel with one click, anytime.

Some of my activities are missing

Tell your AI assistant the type and date of the missing activity and ask it to “refresh my data.” It will fetch the data from Garmin on demand. Activities within your plan’s data range (Free: 2 days, Basic: 90 days) are available.

I can't find my past data

Due to Garmin Health API limitations, only data synced after you connected (OAuth authorization) can be retrieved. Historical data from before the connection is not available. Additionally, data beyond your plan’s range (Free: 2 days, Basic: 90 days) is automatically deleted.

How to enable Historical Data

To allow your AI assistant to refresh or backfill missed data, the Historical Data permission must be enabled in Garmin Connect.

Steps:

  1. Open Garmin Connect Account Settings in your browser
  2. Scroll down to find Fitness AI Connector under connected apps
  3. Turn on the Historical Data toggle
Garmin Connect settings β€” turn on Historical Data toggle for Fitness AI Connector

Once enabled, go back to your AI assistant and ask it to “refresh my data” to fetch any missed data.
